Grad Student, College of Technology and Innovation
Christina Nulle

Christina Nulle is a graduate student with the College of Technology and Innovation at ASU studying Global Technology Development, with specializations in national defense strategies and emerging technology integration and management. Christina is a graduate research associate working with her mentor, Dr. Clark Miller, at the Center for Nanotechnology in Society at ASU and recently completed a yearlong project using data mining tools and software to analyze the contents of 11,000 scientific journal articles, detecting nuanced and emerging trends in nanotechnology and neuroscience research. Christina is currently researching the implications of emerging military technologies for democracy and civil society.

Christina participated in 60 hours of executive counterterrorism training in Israel with the Institute of Terrorism Research and Response (ITRR), examining field-proven innovative technological solutions and strategic partnerships that assist Israel in identifying and combating threats. She also participated in an official public-private delegation in Ireland that examined the policies, procedures, and collaborations that contributed to Ireland’s knowledge-based economic prosperity, transforming it from the “poorest of the rich” to “the Celtic tiger” and which facilitated the rapid commercialization of public-private research and development in science and technology within Ireland.

Christina’s research interests consist of emerging technologies and defense strategies, and the psychological impacts of each on the individual as well as on the larger social order. Other research interests include behavioral genetics, cultural and religious integration, Diaspora and challenges to development, counterterrorism, toxicology, nanotechnology, psychosocial impacts of change and the intersections between economy, polity, and society.
