Nolen Gertz is a doctoral candidate in philosophy at the New School for Social Research and adjunct lecturer at the New York City College of Technology. He is currently completing his dissertation, which is an attempt to reassess just war theory from the combatant’s perspective. He has edited the eBook War Fronts: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on War, Virtual War, and Human Security (Inter-Disciplinary Press, 2010), and has also published articles in Res Publica, Journal of Military Ethics, PhaenEx and Philosophical Frontiers.
