Brad Bishop, Ph.D.

Bradley Bishop graduated from Michigan State University in 1991 with a B.S. in Honors Electrical Engineering. He received a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and attended graduate school at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating with the M.S. and PhD degrees in 1994 and 1997, respectively.

In 1997, he joined the faculty in the Weapons and Systems Engineering department at the United States Naval Academy, where he is currently a full professor. He was the first Associate Professor to ever receive the Naval Academy's highest teaching honor, the Class of 1951 Civilian Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching, given in honor of Professor Theodore J. Benac. He currently teaches courses in emerging and advanced technologies as well as robotics. His research in terests include disruptive technologies, field robotics and swarm control.
